Incontro La Sapienza Teatro e Sociale con James Thompson

Il 4 maggio l'Università Sapienza di Roma ha il piacere di ospitare James Thompson.

James Thompson, tra i maggiori rappresentanti mondiali del teatro applicato nel sociale. 
All'interno di un convegno sul tema Teatri di guerra e mediazione interculturale, Thompson terrà una lectio magistralis con traduzione simultanea in italiano, a cui seguirà una tavola rotonda, nel pomeriggio una sessione video in cui si mostreranno alcuni suoi interventi di Teatro in zone di conflitto e altri di alcuni colleghi che da anni lavorano in tali contesti.

James Thompson, Professor of Applied and Social Theatre, presso The University of Manchester, in cui è anche Director of Research in the School of Arts Histories and Cultures. Director of the Centre for Applied Theatre Research (www.arts.manchester.ac.uk/catr). Director of In Place of War - a research project originally funded by AHRC and now by the Lverhulme Trust on performance and war (www.inplaceofwar.net). Director Centre in 1992 until 1999 Theatre in Prisons and Probation (TIPP). He have run applied theatre programmes and researched theatre projects in the UK, Burkina Faso, Brazil, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the US.
